How To Play Baccarat
You start the game by placing bets on the hand you'll think will achieve a point total closest to nine. You can
choose to bet on the player's hand or the banker's. If you wish, you can also bet on a tie.
The banker has something called the "shoe." It's a special box where the cards for the game are kept. Two cards
are handed out. The first and third cards go to the player. The second and fourth ones go the banker.
Each card gets its own point value. Aces are worth one point. The numbered cards from two to nine are worth their
face value. Tens and face cards are not worth any points.
Players will hit if the point value of their hand is at five points or less. They'll stand if their hand is
worth six or seven points.
If a player decides to take a third card, the banker has to follow specific rules.

Stands |
If the first two cards total reaches into double digits, then the first digit will be dropped. For example, if a
pair of sixes is dealt, the total of that hand would equal 12. The first digit, the one, is dropped, making the
new total two.
A "natural" hand happens if the total of the first two cards is eight or nine. And a natural hand wins, unless
there is a tie. But if neither the player or the banker are natural winners, they must both draw another card.
A winning bet pays even money. Any winning bets on the banker have a five per cent commission, which is withheld
from the payout. To win a tie bet, both hands must have matching totals. Tie bets pay off eight to one, but all
bets placed on the player or the banker are not paid or taken.
